Join Us at Off The Grid 2023: A Community Code Event for Social Impact
We are thrilled to announce the Off The Grid (#OTG) 2023 event, an immersive community code event designed to empower the Blackbaud developer community. In recognition of the value contributed by our extended developer community to the Blackbaud ecosystem, we’re opening this event to the public for the first time. From July 18-20, 2023, join us virtually for an extraordinary opportunity to collaborate, code, and bring to life innovative ideas that drive social impact.
To secure your spot at #OTG and on one of these teams, register here.
Expanding Participation: #OTG aims to create an inclusive and diverse environment by welcoming a broader range of participants. This year not only will our valued Blackbaud staff be part of the event, but we also extend our invitation to customers, partners, and Social Good start-up companies. This exciting expansion means that teams can now build their own solutions using pro-code and low-code tools, or offer their expertise to other teams, amplifying the collective impact we can make.
Generative AI Accelerator Launch: In our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation, we are proud to introduce the Generative AI Accelerator program at #OTG. This cutting-edge initiative allows teams to explore the latest Microsoft OpenAI technology and leverage it to solve unique nonprofit and fundraising challenges. By participating in the Generative AI track, you gain exclusive access to AI tools, training, and sample data sets to supercharge your projects. This professional development opportunity will undoubtedly empower participants with new skills and insights.
Idea Submission and Teams: When you register for #OTG, you will have the option to:
- Lead a Build Team: Submit an idea and recruit others to build with you.
- Join a Build Team: Review community submissions and volunteer to participate on a Build Team. This could be technical or non-technical assistance, like user research.
- Support Build Teams: Volunteer in our “expert zone” and bring your experience to help multiple teams.
Recognition and Rewards: We firmly believe in recognizing and rewarding outstanding contributions to our developer community. Our Innovation Grants program winners, just announced at bbdevdays, Blackbaud’s developer conference, will bring their winning ideas to life at #OTG with support from Blackbaud and partners.
