Blackbaud Partners with Nacional Monte de Piedad to Enable YourCause® Corporate Clients to Donate to Charities in Mexico

Partnership Will Enable Corporate Giving and Grants to Vetted Charities
Charleston, S.C. and Mexico City (February 19, 2025) — Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the leading provider of software for powering social impact, and Nacional Monte de Piedad, a 250-year-old public assistance and financial institution with over 300 locations and a nationwide presence in Mexico, have announced a partnership to support the processing of donations made through the YourCause® from Blackbaud® platform to Mexican charitable organizations.
This partnership will enable Blackbaud’s corporate clients to leverage YourCause CSRconnect® and GrantsConnect® to facilitate employee giving, corporate gift matching and corporate grants to vetted charities in Mexico, whether through cross-border or in-country giving. For companies that have employees in Mexico, employees will soon be able to confidently donate to local charities in their home currency and receive tax benefits.
YourCause from Blackbaud provides modern, purpose-built software solutions designed to amplify the impact companies can make through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. YourCause expands what is possible for companies and their employees by connecting them to millions of nonprofits around the world and facilitating employee giving, volunteering, grantmaking, and impact reporting through modern solutions.
“Through our YourCause platform, we connect companies and their employees to nonprofits around the world to drive social impact,” said Dale Strange, president of corporate impact, Blackbaud. “We continue to expand our global partnerships to grow our network of vetted charities that companies can engage with, and we’re proud to now be able to connect our customers to hundreds of charities in Mexico, expanding the list of available charities and available ways to donate.”
Donations made through the YourCause platform are disbursed to charitable organizations through the Blackbaud Giving Fund in select markets. Due to regulatory requirements in some parts of the world and Blackbaud’s commitment to donation distribution security, in-country partners are engaged to process payments, ensuring donors are provided a reliable database of eligible and vetted nonprofits. Blackbaud went through an extensive vetting process and due diligence to find a trusted organization that meets compliance with U.S. regulations, and local laws governing the movement of foreign charitable funds. Through this agreement, Nacional Monte de Piedad will vet charities, facilitate cross border funds, and release donations made through the YourCause platform to Mexico-based nonprofits and charities.
“At Nacional Monte de Piedad, we are committed to strengthening the philanthropic ecosystem in Mexico by facilitating resources for organizations that create a positive impact in our communities,” said Alejandra Angarita, director of social investment, Nacional Monte de Piedad. “Through this partnership, we are expanding donation opportunities for companies and individuals looking to contribute strategically and transparently to social causes in Mexico. With 250 years of experience in social investment, we ensure that funds reach trusted organizations working in key areas such as health, education, food security, and financial education. We are proud to serve as the bridge connecting international donors with organizations that are transforming realities in the country.”
